MANHATTAN
-- Jack Dangermond, a pioneer in Geographic Information System
technology, will speak at the next event in the Provost's Lecture
Series at Kansas State University.
Dangermond
will present "GIS Vision and Enabling Technology" from
1:30-3 p.m. Thursday, March 8, in the Fielder Hall Auditorium. He
is the founder and president of ESRI, a company that designs and

Dangermond
fostered the growth of the company from a small research group to
an organization with more than 3,100 employees. With headquarters
in Redlands, Calif., ESRI has the largest GIS software install base
in the world, with more than 1 million users in more than 300,000
organizations worldwide. Dangermond also has seven honorary doctorates.
