AT SALINA STUDENTS CAN EXPLORE CAREER OPTIONS WITH NEARLY 50 EMPLOYERS
AT THE I-135 OPPORTUNITIES EXPO
SALINA
-- Kansas State University at Salina students will be able to check
out a variety of job and educational opportunities at the I-135
Opportunities Expo, an annual career fair.
This
year's expo, which will play host to both local and regional employers,
will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the Recreation
Center at K-State at Salina. Nearly 50 employers and representatives
from graduate programs will be on hand.
"This
is a great chance for any student to investigate just how many career
opportunities there are during and after college," said Lucy
Kollhoff, coordinator of career services at K-State at Salina. "The
expo is a one-stop shop for employers and students."
Employers
schedule to attend include: American Eagle Airlines, Black &
Veatch, Buckle, Cabela's, Cessna Aircraft, Cleveland Chiropractic
College, Delta Air Lines, Garmin International, Geoprobe Systems,
Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, Kansas Highway Patrol, Philips
Lighting Company, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Sunflower Bank,
Tradehome Shoes and the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. Representatives
of graduate school programs from some of the state's universities
also will be available. A full listing of participants is available

Employers
will be interviewing, so students should wear business professional
attire and bring several copies of their resume.
K-State
at Salina is working with a consortium of colleges to bring the
event to Salina. The institutions include Kansas Wesleyan University,
Bethany College, McPherson College, Tabor College, Sterling College
and Bethel College.
