STUDENT AMBASSADORS HELP PROMOTE K-STATE AT SALINA
SALINA -- Giving campus tours, assisting with high-profile visitors and events, and helping to recruit new students are just some of the duties of students selected to serve as ambassadors at Kansas State University at Salina.
Ambassadors are selected by faculty and administrators through an application process that includes an interview. Students must have completed at least one semester at K-State at Salina, be enrolled full time and maintain a minimum 2.75 grade point average.
"Student ambassadors play a critical role in K-State at Salina's recruiting and retention plans, as well as serve Dean Dennis Kuhlman's office as officials representatives of the college at campus events," said Dixie Schierlman, associate dean for college advancement at K-State at Salina. "Guests on campus really enjoy getting to visit with the ambassadors about why they chose K-State at Salina and what their career goals are after graduation. We're so proud of the role our student ambassadors play in serving our campus."
